Hello friends - the recd. date on my 765 application is August 7th...it's almost 90 days now (11/5 - next monday) that my application will be pending.!
Same is the case with AP..! No news at all for EAD & AP..Worried now!
Can i make a appt. with INFOPASS for both my EAD & AP together...? And what is the A # that they ask for when we fill Infopass appt.? Is it A # on 48 receipt notice.? OR A # on 140 approval notice.!

I am on H-1 and recently filed for my 485. After I receive an EAD in 6 or so months, am I eligible to go to school full-time while waiting for processing on my 485 application?
To continue your 485 processing, you should either join another company with a similar job or you should be able to join your existing employer once the I-485 is approved.

My case cannot be processed under CSPA, because the form I-824 was not filed within one year of the visa becoming available.

If the principal applicant adjusted status in the U.S. and a derivative is applying for a visa abroad to follow-to-join, then the date on which the derivative will be considered to have sought LPR status for purposes of satisfying CSPA Section 3 will generally be the date on which the principal (acting as the derivative beneficiary's agent) filed the Form I-824 that is used to process the derivative's following to join application. Therefore, in cases involving a derivative seeking to follow to join a principal who adjusted in the U.S., the derivative can benefit from the CSPA if the principal filed a Form I-824 for the beneficiary within one year of a visa becoming available (i.e., within one year of the case becoming current or petition approval, whichever is later). They are not always up to date on their processing times.
Evidently.... I guess I can't rely on it too much for predicting approval of the other applications. I heard of a similar situation too, the receipt date is very close to mine and it got approved today.

Hi, I am on L1B since Dec'10. My visa is expiring in Apr'11. Due to project requirement, my company has plan for my visa extension. Is there any way to get the GC? If part-time study can help to process my GC faster, I am ready for that too.

I have been working for Company A which was bought under the Umbrella of a bigger parent. My company A still operates under the same name and is fairly independent.
The parent company bought another company B recently and have asked me move to B for business reasons in a similar role as with company A. Could I file a new GC with B and use my 10+ years experience with A to file for under EB2. I am currently under EB3-I category

For filing of I485, do I need to file for my dependent child who is an US citizen (age :1 year+)? Also does my child need to go through the medical exam and be part of the I485 application even though she is a citizen?
Sometimes it becomes confusing and some guidance from our IV folks is really appreciated.

Hi all,
I got my first H1B after my MS in Nov 2002 to Oct 2005. I have renewed my H1B for the next 3 year period (Nov 2005 to Oct 2008) and I have the necessary forms from the USCIS. Now I need to get my passport restamped. I am considering Tijuana, Mexico as I have a friend in San Diego that I want to see. However, my I94 form in my passport says it expires in Nov 2005. Now my question is:
Can I go to Mexico for a restamp? What is the procedure/risk involved?

You have some nice images, but I would think they are most of all interesting to the people whose faces you have photographed. It's not my taste, a bit gruesome, but it looks well done as far as I can judge it.
I second the suggestion to upload your critique images to dphoto, use your personal gallery. I think members of this site will be more inclined to write some comments here than at any other linked site.
