Does anyone have this issue? I cant seem to view macrumors on safari. It works fine on firefox. On safari it works the first time after I clear cache but after that the page views are not as they should be. Not sure how to describe it but its almost like there is no html or structure. This started about a month ago on safari. I know after a safari reset it works but only the first time out. Its a bit of a hassle to go to firefox to use the site. Any help would be appreciated.

In general: you sometimes don't get that option in a very straight forward way - and they still might sell your address (maybe not FT, but others)

So if you opt out: WHY do they still need your full name, address, email, .... etc information. If I tell them I don't want any of their advertisement or from their partners than I don't. I can see that they ask for the zip code or similar information to see in which areas they do good or not - but they should not get my full address, email or phone number.
Legally, if you make any kind of contract, you have to identify yourself. When you do a business in person (eg, buying a hotdog) being there physically is enough, for non-personal contracts you need to identify yourself (which can be done via a creditcard, as the creditcard itself has an address to it) via an address.
Demanding an e-mail or a phone number is there to facilitate things for the business partner, they have business operations in place which might rely on sending out invoices via e-mail. But legally, you probably could make a fuss and claiming you do not have an e-mail address or even a telephone.

A High Court in the UK has ordered SONY to disolve its merger with BMG. Fighting this could cost valuable resources.
If they lose, the cost of breakup could well put SONY under. Remember BETAMAX. Yes, I know SONY/BMG is the music arm of the company-but it will be a drain on the whole company.
Dude, seriously give it a rest. You've just shot down your credibility because SonyBMG is a separate division that Sony Corp. itself owns a 50% stake in with Bertlesman(n) owning the other 50%. That ruling has no effect on Sony Corp. itself. While it is true that Sony is shipping titles in MPEG2 until they bring out their own hardware, once that happens, the encoding in H.264 will be noticibily better than the HD-DVD titles that will continue to ship in Microsoft's inferior VC-1 (ahem, Windows Media 9) codec because Microsoft in truth is supporting HD-DVD simply because it uses the Microsoft iHD software instead of Java (like Blu-Ray does) and thus earns royalities with each HD-DVD deck shipped and every VC-1 encoded movie title also shipped. While Blu-Ray spec wise supports VC-1 (in addition to H.264 MPEG4 and MPEG2), it will be a very cold day in Hell when Sony decides to ship a Blu-Ray disc encoded in VC-1.
The moral of the story is to pick up a Blu-Ray deck when the second (or third) generation hits, and only buy discs encoded in the H.264 codec instead of the current MPEG2 versions. At that time, HD-DVD will be as useful as a Philips CD-i deck or a Circuit City DIVX player.

Given the "knowledge" over the years. why do you think that a musical like "Rent", could even hope o make it it the movies in November?

Can anyone help me with needed instructions , to pair my I phone contacts with my Bose Bluetooth System. The phone is paired, but I cannot get the contacts to load into Bose System. Thanks Brett

I'm simply stating the point that I don't understand how people can keep debating this "issue" when there are CLEARLY more important things to talk about. I think because Apple is so successful they get picked on by the media and other Company's seem to get a free pass.

The end result in all of this is that Samsung are putting at risk an $8bn turnover for copying a customers phone design.
Even if Samsung win any of these suits, Samsung will lose the $8bn turnover, and will hand their component rivals the same amount.
The question at the end of the day is whether the Galaxy/Tab/S/S2 are really worth $8bn a year - which they aren't.
So who loses? Samsung every time.

Never sue your supplier when your supplier can turn around and gobble up other suppliers and increase the price for all OEM makers, but giving itself the cost effective goods, because it also itself is an OEM maker.
Unlike Apple, who is just a customer, Samsung is BOTH a customer AND a supplier at the same time. Either way, they win.
Quite recently, Samsung attempted to take over Sandisk, the NAND flash memory company. It wasnt successful due to some differences in price offers. That alone tells you that Samsung is willing to strangle hold the market even more than it already has. NAND flash market alone, Samsung has over 30 % of the market all to itself. For RAM memory, it close to 40%.

Haha someone actually remembers me! (*feels loved*:o) but the wallpaper is 1280x800 since I could only find a album cover the size of around 1400pixels.
I've included that too if your monitor isn't 16:10 or something (The cover art is 1425, if you stretch it to 1440 it shouldn't look that much worse at all).
